ACTION ALERT: Advocate for budget amendments to support the watershed!

The FY25 House budget debate has begun, and we need your help! Please advocate for budget amendments promoting a healthier and more resilient watershed.

MEET THE AMENDMENTS:

  • Amendment #846, filed by Representative Kay Khan.

This amendment guarantees crucial funding for aquatic invasive species control in the Charles and Mystic Rivers, enhancing recreational users' conditions and improving both rivers' health.

  • Amendment #1050, filed by Representative David Rogers.
Did you know raw sewage flows into the Charles River every time we experience heavy rainfall? Improving sewer systems can be costly. This amendment will allow our state to build upon successful models in other parts of the country to develop innovative and affordable solutions to the problem of combined sewer overflows. This amendment represents our best opportunity to work on this problem for our watershed and the state.

TAKE ACTION TODAY!

Find your Representative and give them a call or email today! Here’s a template of what to say:
